A Quick FAQ (so far)


Before I get into it, I just wanted to give a big thank you to the r/vtm reddit that shared our page! The new influx of followers who are eager for the game is so exciting to see, and it is very motivating to know that people want to see our game. I do have so much more to show everyone when we release the demo. There have been some questions that I saw on the Reddit today, asking about our game, and we have received DMs as well, so, for the time being, we wanted to answer these questions here.

  1.  Why Milwaukee? 

Milwaukee is kind of messed up in WoD. It's awesome! It's a very unique setting and one of the oldest ones in VtM canon as well. We've read any and all information we could find, old and new, and we will be honoring the canon setting because we absolutely love it. Milwaukee also has really interesting history that adds a particular flair to social and political dynamics that are so integral to vtm. We've watched multiple documentaries, read articles, researched the city & surrounding areas, and did our best to make the game's setting feel authentic. (Yes, RLM will be included. They are iconic.) 

     2.  15 clans is a lot. 

Absolutely. We completely understand if you are skeptical. It's not a decision we made on a whim and it is something we have discussed at length when it comes to implementation both writing and coding-wise. It will be a lot of work for both of us but this is a huge passion project and we really just wanted to create something for fellow fans, including those who like less popular clans. 

  3. Will the game come out if you don't reach your funding goals? 

 The game will be fully written and programmed no matter what. However, if we don't reach our goals, it will be lacking in unique art and music. Hopefully that won't be the case. We are eternally grateful for the support we have been shown so early in the development, and we're hoping that once the demo releases and players can get their hands on it, we can secure more funding. We're currently seeking funding assistance on our ko-fi! As well as our Patreon.

    4. When will the demo come out? 

 The game will have quite a few mechanics and we need to ensure they all work perfectly in tandem. We want the demo to be tested and polished before we put it out and we don't want to give a precise deadline we might not be able to meet.

     5. What are the game mechanics? 

Abilities and skills from the canonical v5 character sheet will be present and play a role in how you progress through (many) skill checks. Disciplines, humanity, and masquerade will all play an important role, as well.  You will also have an inventory and equipment that will impact your skill checks depending on their traits, bonuses, and restrictions. 

     6. What will the romances be like? 

Our goal is for the romances to be unique. Each one will be different and won't have a typical progression of flirting ->personal quest->sex. We do want them to feel like vampires but we also want them to be individuals. I do also want to stress that platonic relationships and rivalries will also be present and will have an impact on certain events. 

  7. Are you guys OK? 

 A little tired but very enthused! : )
